*** VERY, VERY IMPORTANT ***

The New Jersey State Development and Redevelopment Plan is getting closer to sign off by Governor Christie. The Plan is not voted on by our Legislators. We're concerned about elements in the Plan that may jeopardize our property rights, local authority and continue to take our tax dollars for special interests.

Action Alert: Stop the Plan

PLEASE CONTACT Governor Christie at 609-292-6000 or www.state.nj.us/governor/contact/. Tell him you want them to start over and document a plan that clearly protects our property rights and local authority and retains our tax dollars in our communities.

“If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen. Samuel Adams

Victor Hugo famously wrote, "There is nothing more powerful than an idea whose time has come". The Tea Party Movement's time is now and its power cannot be denied. As Tea Party Members we hope to celebrate success on Tuesday, November 2nd. Regardless of our success we must rededicate ourselves to continue with the work ahead. The elections next year will include both houses of our state legislature. In 2012 there will be a presidential and a US Senatorial election. For us to be effective in 2011 and 2012 we must fully understand the political process.

At our upcoming meetings we will explain and discuss the County Committee, the local Republican and Democratic clubs, and how these organizations influence candidates and elections. The candidates we vote for are not always the candidates that best represent constitutionally limited government. Our founding fathers put in place a political process that will preserve our liberties. We must choose to participate in the process or others will decide for us.

In life there are basically three types of people: Those who make things happen, those who watch things happen, and those who scratch their heads and ask, "What the hell just happened?" We have been scratching our heads for too many years. Now is the time to fully understand the two party system and the political process so we can be an effective political movement. Attending our next meeting meeting is a important first step.
